Privacy Policy — Hue Wars

Last updated: 24 May 2026

1. Summary

Hue Wars (the “Game”) is developed and published by Ebrahim Bararian, an individual based in Berlin, Germany, under the BitBuddy Labs brand name. We try to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what data the Game and its supporting services collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

2. Who we are and how to contact us

The controller responsible for processing your personal data in connection with the Game is:

Ebrahim Bararian (BitBuddy Labs)
Gelieustraße 7
12203 Berlin
Germany
Email: [email protected]

For any privacy-related question, data access request, or deletion request, use the email above. See also our dedicated data deletion page.

3. Data we collect

When you play Hue Wars, the following categories of data may be collected through the Game and its third-party services:

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health, ethnicity, religion, political opinion, or sexual orientation), and we do not ask you for your real name, postal address, or phone number.

4. How we use this data

We process the categories listed above for the following purposes:

5. Third parties we share data with

Hue Wars uses the following third-party services. Each of them processes some of your data on our behalf or as an independent controller, according to their own privacy policies:

We do not sell your personal data for money. Advertising partners may process advertising identifiers for ad delivery, attribution, and measurement as described in Section 6. Other sharing happens only to operate the Game and the features listed in Section 4.

From inside the Game, you can access this Privacy Policy and our contact details under Support & Privacy. Device-level ad controls (resetting or limiting the Advertising ID) are explained in Section 6 below.

6. Ads and the Advertising ID

If you have not opted out of personalized advertising on your device, ad networks accessed through Unity LevelPlay may use your mobile Advertising ID to serve ads that are more relevant to you. You can reset or limit this identifier at any time:

Inside the Game, you can review or change your ad/privacy choices from Settings → Privacy Choices. This opens Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form, where available. Separately, you can turn anonymous gameplay analytics on or off from Settings → Share Anonymous Analytics. Analytics is off until you opt in.

If you purchase the “No Forced Ads” in-app product, banner and forced interstitial ads stop being shown. Rewarded ads remain available as an opt-in feature for earning extra in-game rewards.

7. Your rights under GDPR

If the GDPR applies to you, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. To help us verify your identity, please include your in-game Support ID (shown in the Game under Support & Privacy) where possible. You can withdraw ad consent in Settings → Privacy Choices where available, and you can withdraw analytics consent at any time in Settings → Share Anonymous Analytics.

8. Children

Hue Wars is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in EU jurisdictions where that higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The Game does not currently include an in-Game age-verification step; we rely on the age rating shown on the platform store (Google Play, and in the future the Apple App Store) and on parental controls available on the device. If you believe a child has provided personal data to the Game, please contact us at the email above and we will delete the data.

9. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists and the Game is in active use, plus a short retention period for backups and abuse prevention. Purchase records and tax-relevant data are kept for as long as required by German law (typically up to 10 years for accounting records under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO).

10. Security and international transfers

Personal data is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS/TLS). The third-party services listed in Section 5 are operated by companies that may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions or on Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or change ad partners. The current version is always available at this URL, and the “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in the Game when reasonable.

Rainbow Coins, Silver Coins, Reward Tickets, unlocks, and other virtual items exist only inside Hue Wars and have no real-world cash value. See our Terms of Service.
